The Parent Portal is now open for Grade 5 families (whose students will be entering Grade 6 at Lazar in the Fall) to choose an elective course. It will close on Monday, April 26th.

ALL 5th grade (entering 6th) grade families must make an elective selection in the parent portal.

To get to the portal go to https://www.montville.net/ and select “Parents/Students” from the top banner. Then select “Genesis Parent Access”

Again, ALL 5th grade (entering 6th) grade families must make an elective selection in the parent portal.

  • Student Council is conducting a fundraiser for the Ellen Maguire Foundation.  Click here for more information on how you can help.

  • Project ACES is taking place on May 5th.  It will be virtual again this year.  It will take place at 2pm. Visit Mr. Saunder's SeeSaw and Schoology page for the link to log in and participate. Parents, don't forget to take pictures of your children participating and send them in to be included in the yearbook

  • Online Kindergarten registration for the 2021-2022 school year begins on January 11.  If you are registering a sibling of a current Valley View student, please email Kathleen.Zaleski@montville.net.

  • For our 5th Grade students:  The New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services has mandated that children born after January 1997 and entering grade six must receive a booster dose of the Diphtheria, Tetanus Toxoids and Pertussis, (Tdap) vaccine as well as one dose of the  Meningococcal vaccine.  Please see the attached letter with specific information and how to submit the proper documentation.

  • If you have traveled outside of NJ, please click here for more information regarding your return to school.

  • A great way to honor someone for a special occasion is to make a donation to Valley View's Library.  Click here to make a donation through MT.

  • Did you want an exciting way to celebrate your child?  Click here to register for the PTA to "CARD YOUR YARD".

  • There's a limited number of Smencils for sale this year. Buy yours through MT today!

  • Be sure to log onto Parent Access to fill out the health screening for your student(s) who are in person.

Thank you to all who donated to our Teacher's Appreciation Day.  We were able to show our gratitude to our teachers by providing a few treats for them.

Our Next Dine to Donate is April 27th

On April 27, consider dining at Bubbakoo's Burritos in LINCOLN PARK to support Valley View.  Let the staff know that you are supporting Valley View when placing your order, and they will donate 20% back to VV.  Click here for more information.

Puravida Bracelets

Did you forget to order your Puravida Bracelet?  Well, there is still time.  Additionally, they are in, so distribution will begin.

  • MEF recognizes that educators have done such an amazing job pivoting thru the challenges of zoom and in-person learning.  We are launching a student-driven Thank You Teacher Video. Students are able to express their appreciation to their favorite teacher in a short video. Videos are sent to the MEF at MEFTeacherAppreciation@gmail.com for  compilation. On Teacher Appreciation Day, the MEF will send each educator a link to the video along with a special gift .  The video will be a compilation of all student submissions.   As a special recognition the school with the most student submissions will receive the MEF School Spirit Trophy engraved with their name.  The trophy currently resides at Cedar Hill.

  • The Montville Environmental Commission is sponsoring a Billboard Contest for our elementary students. Interested students can print the template here (bit.ly/mbillboards), create a drawing that is inspired by this year's theme: Clean Water, Clean Air, Clean Land and upload it as instructed on the website before April 20th. Winners from each grade level will be selected and their submissions will be displayed on a digital billboard in town from April 25-May 5.
