Community Connections

  • The Montville U12 Baseball Team is conducting a fundraiser to support their planned trip to Cooperstown next summer.  They are holding a Dine to Donate event at Tuscany Villa Ristorante, 223 Changebridge Road, Montville, NJ, on December 2nd.  Please see the link below to print the flyer you must bring with you.  10% of your order will be donated to the Montville Baseball 12U team.  https://mbsa-nj.org/index.html

  • OneMontville Book Club  -- Join us for the OneMontville Book Club, Winter 2021 session, as we read The War on Kindness and explore empathy and it's role in uniting our community.  This incredible book will show you how we can grow empathy and why this is the key to bringing our community together and overcoming our differences.  ** Multiple copies of the book will be available at the library by January.  In early January, everyone who joined will be assigned to a Discussion Group with 5-6 other people with similar schedule availability.  Each group will then schedule two Zoom sessions, one hour each, spaced about 2-3 weeks apart (for example, Jan 31st, Feb 21st).  Each session will cover one half of the book.  ** Each discussion group will have a leader who will start the discussion.  OM will provide optional conversation topics.  When signing up, please consider whether you would be willing to be a discussion group leader.  https://www.onemontville.org/book-club

  • Zack Pett a student at Lazar Middle School has undertaken a mitzvah project for the holidays.  As many of you in town know a kindergartener, Gracie was diagnosed with Stage 4 neuroblastoma this summer. The Ferluge family has shown incredible strength throughout all her treatments. As the holidays approach all Gracie wants is breakfast with Santa. Zack's project is to fill Santa’s bag full of cards for Gracie. Nothing makes her happier than hearing from our community. Please help Zack bring some holiday joy to Gracie. Cards can be dropped off to me at 66 Ridge Drive, MONTVILLE. Additional drop boxes will be located at all the district elementary schools.
